Everyone is Welcome!

All individuals, including pregnant and postpartum people, are welcome. Babies in arms are also welcome.

I think this is a wonderful and much needed program. I see this specialty really helping so many lives. Even as a trained midwife I learned so much! I was personally guided and mentored through this entire journey and was provided with honest and constructive feedback that I greatly appreciate.

Rachelle Stimac

I must say, I enrolled for the holistic program and I’ve listened to the first audio introduction and OH MY I am excited! This course is what my dreams are made of. Cannot waaaait to have these tools under my belt. Doula School is incredible. I am so grateful for you!

The videos on these modules for the dual stream are SO GOOD. First of all it’s great to be able to see/hear you guys especially as a home-study person and secondly so much of the content is covering stuff I was really wondering about (e.g what is meant by emotional support, and the nuances of relationship building with primary care folks). Loving it!!

Training with Doula School to become a Birth Doula has been an amazing positive experience in my life. I feel so blessed to have joined a sensational group of women pushing the bar to educate, encourage and empower women during the most incredible journey of their life.

What are the prerequisites for Sacred Birth Prenatal Yoga & Doula Training?

To join our online yoga teacher training, you must be passionate and inspired about creating a community of like-minded women who support and guide other mothers through yoga. We ask that you are dedicated and feel compelled to answer this very sacred call.

Do I need a 200-hour certification to take the course?

Prior teaching experience is helpful but not necessary. The course and yoga postures are often referenced using both Sanskrit and English terminology. Having prior experience with yoga asanas or postures is recommended as it will enhance your understanding of the course content, allowing you to grasp the information more easily and quickly. Please feel free to schedule a call with us if you have any questions!

Is this a Yoga Alliance certified program?

Yes! Upon completion, you can register with the Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and teach yoga internationally. After the 85-hour prenatal yoga teacher training, you’ll receive the designation of RPYT (Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher) with eligibility to register with Yoga Alliance.

Do you offer Sacred Birth training without the doula course?

Yes, we offer the Sacred Birth Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training as a stand-alone program, both live virtual and self-paced. The yoga and conscious birthing curriculum is the same in both programs.

When should I book my flight?

La Aurora International airport is a 4-4.5 hour drive from Lake Atitlán. Some attendees go directly from the airport to training, which starts at 4 pm on the first day, while others stay in Antigua for a night and then travel to the lake the next day.

Can I arrive a few days before the training starts?

If you want to arrive earlier, you may be able to stay at Villa Sumaya if they have availability. Email us for more info.

Will there be transportation from the airport to Villa Sumaya? What are my options?

We can arrange a shuttle for your arrival and departure. The cost depends on how many others from the group will be joining you. From Panajachel, you’ll take a boat to the private dock of Villa Sumaya with our team’s support. Please view the full details in the welcome packet.

What if I fall ill? Can I take a sick day? Can I make up the hours?

Full participation is required to complete the program and receive your Yoga Alliance certification. Three hours of missed classes with a valid reason will be excused without makeup. Any additional hours missed will require communication with a facilitator to make up hours. Additional costs may incur for one-on-one facilitator time.
