How Doulas Can Support Hypnobirthing Clients

Hypnobirthing is becoming a more common choice among birthing clients, and doulas play a pivotal role in helping these families feel supported, informed, and confident throughout the process. In this workshop, you’ll learn practical tools for supporting hypnobirthing clients through pregnancy, labor, and birth – from understanding the philosophy and language of hypnobirthing to complementing breathing techniques, visualization, and relaxation practices with hands-on doula support.

Drawing on 20 years of labor support experience alongside training as a Hypnobirthing instructor and prenatal/postnatal yoga teacher, Julia will share real-world strategies for helping clients stay calm, connected, and empowered even when birth doesn’t go exactly as planned.

This webinar is offered freely to members and alumni of DS and is $35 for external participants. Participants will receive a certificate of attendance that can be used as a continuing education unit at DS.

About Host: Julia Forest

Julia Forest Doula SchoolJulia is a doula, childbirth educator, and birth advocate whose work has touched thousands of lives across more than 20 countries. As co-founder and co-Director of Doula School International, Canada’s largest doula training organization with over 6,500 graduates worldwide, she has spent over two decades redefining what exceptional birth support looks and feels like, both for the families being served and the practitioners doing the serving. Her teaching is trauma-informed, evidence-based, and grounded in the belief that a birth worker’s inner life is inseparable from the quality of care they offer. She brings 20 years of practice in birthwork, massage therapy, prenatal yoga, mindfulness and embodied movement practice to everything she teaches.
