Then this webinar is for you!
Workshop Description
Join Nat Turnbull, Full-Spectrum Doula, Health Educator and Artist for a reflective & meditative craft session for birth-workers and doulas.
We will gather virtually for a craft session focused on what we need as care providers, how we can care for ourselves in order to care better for our families, where we have come from and where we are headed as community members.
The medium of choice Nat will be demonstrating is collage but people are welcome to come with their own craft of choice and just vibe with us/reflect in the space. Doulas & birthworkers are invited to spend the time leading up to the workshop gathering preferred materials for their collages. Nat will explain and demonstrate a variety of collage techniques and lead folks through reflections while we all create.
Suggested supplies:
- Old books, papers or magazines, fliers, pamphlets or really any paper media you feel comfy ripping or cutting, you can even use old receipts (photocopy that doula book you love!)
- Any paper for us to work onto, it could be blank, lined paper, any old book sheet, scrap paper, other media gathered, it doesn’t have to be blank just able to be used for creating on
- Drawing/colouring tools (whatever you feel called to)
- Scissors
- Tape (whatever kind you prefer, i like transparent tapes)
- Glue (again any but i prefer glue sticks for their quick dry ability)
- Stickers
- Anything you want to collage really
Note: We will be collaging on a timeline so I highly suggest tape and/or glue sticks for speed and ease of use rather than a liquid glue! I use both often in my collages.
For example and inspiration:
- Check your neighborhoods for a free library on the side of the road, they often will contain a great picture/photography book, or national geographic.
- Interesting images may become a background or be folded to make a booklet
- An old Dictionary may provide you with all the words needed for a poem
- Images are glued on to create a collage.
The sky is the limit.
The world is your oyster
See you there!
Hypnobirthing is becoming a more common choice among birthing clients, and doulas play a pivotal role in helping these families feel supported, informed, and confident throughout the process. In this workshop, you’ll learn practical tools for supporting hypnobirthing clients through pregnancy, labor, and birth – from understanding the philosophy and language of hypnobirthing to complementing breathing techniques, visualization, and relaxation practices with hands-on doula support.
Drawing on 20 years of labor support experience alongside training as a Hypnobirthing instructor and prenatal/postnatal yoga teacher, Julia will share real-world strategies for helping clients stay calm, connected, and empowered even when birth doesn’t go exactly as planned.
Caring for Multiples: Practical Postpartum Support
A Lunch and Learn Session with Andrea Paul, Doula Trainer and Agency Manager
November 18th from 12:00 – 1:00pm EST | Live Virtual | Open to Doulas, Birth Workers, and Perinatal Professionals
Supporting families with twins, triplets, or higher order multiples requires thoughtful planning, flexibility, and a unique understanding of the realities of caring for more than one newborn at a time. This Lunch and Learn session provides practical, evidence informed guidance to help doulas confidently support families of multiples while remaining grounded in their professional scope of practice.

- Practical tips for organizing care, supporting parental rest, and creating sustainable routines
